There are billions of posts on X and the web every day. Rules are a way to define criteria and filter live data based on what matters most.

Build a rule

Rules can be built directly via our API or ask your agent to do it for you via the MCP server. Example:

The platform(s) the rule should be created for. Accepted values: x or firehose.

The platform specific syntax. For X, refer to their docs for proper syntax. For Firehose, refer to their docs for proper syntax. For agents, call the platform_syntax MCP tool.

Rules Types

Regular

Regular rules have no limits and are available to all paid plans. Currently, Firehose rules are considered to be regular.

Premium

Premium rules include limits. We are not able to offer these in an unlimited capacity due to restrictions set by the platforms. Currently, X rules are considered to be premium.
